A GROUP fighting to stop plans to build a new high school on the grounds of Pakefield Middle School have vowed not to give up their cause.

The Schools Adjudicator ruled last month in favour of Suffolk County Council's proposals to develop the fourth secondary school in the town on the Kilbourn Road site.

But Enraged Residents Against School Expansion (ERASE), made up of a group of residents and parents have said they consider the middle school buildings are ideal for the primary school, but not appropriate for more than 1400 children, teachers and support staff.

Graham Jermyn, a member of ERASE said: 'We do not believe that a new access, close to an extremely busy roundabout will improve the situation at all. Clearly, ERASE on behalf of the community of Pakefield, will continue it's successful fight against these proposals.'
