Driver and passenger cut free after car flips on side

Two passengers had a lucky escape after their car flipped onto its side in a crash in Kessingland.
Both came away with minor cuts and bruises after the fire service freed the driver from the car after it rolled onto its side following an accident with another vehicle at the roundabout on the A12.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said they received the call for the incident at 11.26 yesterday .
He said: “One person was trapped but was released by the fire service. We remained on scene for 10 minutes while we waited for the ambulance to arrive and we used a winch to get the vehicle back on the carriageway.”
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We sent an ambulance and a rapid response unit to the scene. One of the patients had minor bruises to their arms.
“The second patient was assessed by the paramedics but was also not sent to hospital.”
Two units were sent from Lowestoft South fire station with another sent from Lowestoft North. They were at the scene until approximately 6.30pm.
