Perplexed at naturist's frustrations
I READ with interest frustrated naturist Stephen Williamson's letter (August 21) and his surprising proposal to move the naturist beach to the south side of Tramps Alley.

I can only assume he was not around when Waveney Council made the then revolutionary decision to assign an area of beach for the use of naturists, which was the spot now suggested by Mr Williamson.
A few weeks after use of the site by sun worshipers, there followed in The Journal, a series of letters claiming Sunday walks had been ruined by naked men and women suddenly springing from the sand dunes. What is more children were present.
To conform to their wishes the council changed the site to where it exists at present. An area much more dangerous to swimmers and children as the beach dips down sharply, unlike the original site.
