FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft spent just under 20 minutes tackling a petrol spill in the town this morning (Friday).

Two crews from Lowestoft were called out at 9.08am this morning to Kirkley Cliff Road following reports that a car was 'leaking petrol.'

A Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said that the crews used 'oil dry' to soak up the petrol spill from the car, and the scene was cleared by 9.26am.
