After the success of the re-launched Petticoat Lane market in Lowestoft, a charity pop-up shop selling a range of items has proved to be just as popular.

The market, which was organised by the Lowestoft Lions and Lowestoft Vision, made a return to the town's calendar earlier this month after an 11-year absence.

And after numerous items were donated to the Lions, a pop-up shop was opened last Saturday in Police Station Road.

Mark Lanham, from the Lowestoft Lions Club, said: 'Our shop has gone really well and will stay open another week. The doors to the charity shop opened on Saturday, and all week support has been great and we thank you all for calling in.'

As well as the shop, visitors can find out more about the Lions on how to become a member and find out about the Bike Active project.

Mr Lanham said: 'Our Lions charity Petticoat Lane shop will continue to open from 9.30am to 3pm, until Saturday, June 7, excluding Sundays, so for books, clothes, CDs, videos, bric-a-brac and much more – so please call into the shop in Police Station Road, next to Colin Brown Property Services.

The Lions thanked Peter Colby Commercials for the use of the premises.
