Philharmonic's contribution to Lowestoft

RICHARD Morling's letter (January 25) emphasised the contribution made to Lowestoft by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's residency. On March 1 the concert series features guest orchestra the Warsaw Philharmonic.

RICHARD Morling's letter (January 25) emphasised the contribution made to Lowestoft by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's residency. On March 1 the concert series features guest orchestra the Warsaw Philharmonic.

Their easy-going programme of Beethoven and Bruch will include a work by the Polish composer Lutoslawski whose music, to some, will be the shock of the new.

Their conductor Antoni Wit has recorded a wide repertoire of pieces with this orchestra and others, many of which are highly rated in such publications as The Penguin Guide to CD's.
