A popular annual summer fair at a Lowestoft-area primary school has been hailed a success.
Phoenix St Peter Academy held the fair on Saturday, July 7 – with about £1,500 raised to boost school funds.
The school on Enstone Road, Lowestoft showcased stalls, bouncy castles, a barbecue, ice creams and lots of games and craft stalls.
A school spokesman said it was 'an amazing day' with thanks to 'our amazing Friends of Phoenix, the teachers, support staff and brilliant site manager, our families for coming along and supporting the event and all the stallholders and performers.'
The event raised £1,500 which will be spent on a stereo for the children to use during break and lunchtimes to indulge their love of singing and dancing, pizzas for the school's Year 6 leavers to enjoy at their leavers disco and the rest of the money will be spent on outdoor sporting equipment.
