FOR the third year running, the Kessingland Players have shone on stage in their seasonal panto production.
The village's Community Players performed Dick Whittington at the Kessingland Sports and Social Centre last weekend – with 'fun for all the family' ensured.
With villagers enjoying the show, the panto was written for the Players by their costume designer and maker Mike Friend, with the title role taken by Karen Delf.
Alice Fitzwarren was played by Chloe Smithson and the dame, Sarah the Cook, was performed by John Woods. In her first panto, Julie Warren portrayed a Hyacinth Bouquet-esque haracter in her role as Mrs Fitzwarren, while The Alderman was played by Dick Rolfe, who usually accompanies the Players on piano
Mrs Delf said the Players were grateful to everyone responsible for putting on the show, especially the four people working on the sound, lighting and curtain.
And praising the Players for their panto production, Kessingland resident, June Jennings, said: 'Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any better – it did! For the third year running the Kessingland Players have produced a seasonal pantomime – and what a scorcher it is.
'The scenery, sound and lighting were perfect, with the whole cast giving a truly professional performance.'
