Plans for new bowls green
THERE has, for the past two years, been a plan to construct a new bowls green on the village playing field in Corton, providing sufficient funding can be acquired; the proceeds from the sale of the existing green to be used for this purpose.

The present membership, a large proportion of which are not village residents, seem unwilling to acknowledge this fact.
I believe this is due to one fact only, and that is they do not want to pay 21st century fees for the use of a green in place of the pittance they pay now.
