Fine weather led to around 4,000 people enjoying a range of fun activities and live music at an annual school fete.
Held at Somerleyton Primary School, this year's theme was the Mad Hatters Tea Party as families gathered for an afternoon of entertainment including a dog show, best hat competition, music from King Kawanda, a barbecue and beer tent.
A variety of traders stalls were also on offer and for the little ones, swing boats, a bouncy castle, face painting and hair braiding all helped capture the imagination on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year.
An incredible £4,200 was raised, which was well up on last year's total. All of the proceeds raised are going directly to the school for the 56 pupils to embark on trips next year and also for important educational projects,
Erina Keleher, vice-chairman of Parent, Teacher and Friend Association (PTFA) who put the event together, said she was 'overwhelmed with the support on the day', which also included horse and carriage rides around Somerleyton village, a coconut shy and fabric stalls.
'It was blisteringly hot but on every level it was a really great day,' she said. 'We are all overwhelmed by the support of everyone who came, there was a great atmosphere and everyone was having fun.
'We have raised an incredible amount of money and we are just really thankful. The event has been really big in the last ten years and I have now called it a 'feteival' - a cross between a fete and festival.
Mrs Keleher also praised the support of residents and friends who came together within the community, also enjoying a visit from Woody Bear.
'All the villagers of Somerleyton clubbed together to help, it is a full on community effort,' Mrs Keleher added.
'The fete is really important to show people that we are not just a school and we want to involve the community in the really fun and chilled day.'
The organisers also thanked their sponsors and others who pledged support.
