Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old girl reported being approached by a man in an alleyway between Sussex Road and Royal Avenue in Lowestoft.

The incident happened around 8.40am yesterday, Wednesday 9 March.

The girl was walking along the alleyway when a man shouted at her.

She ran but the man followed her and tried to grab her before the girl got away and returned home.

Police need to trace the man – described as white, in his early to mid 20s, around 6ft tall, of skinny build, with cropped blonde hair, wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up and dark jeans – and are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in this area around this time.
