Police appeal after man asks teenager for a kiss

PUBLISHED: 13:21 29 November 2010

POLICE need to trace a man described as dark skinned, possibly of Indian appearance, after he approached an 18-year-old woman and asked her for a kiss in Oulton.

The man, described as being in his late 20s to early 40s, with short dark hair, of medium build, around 5ft 6ins tall, with a little facial stubble and wearing dark jeans and a smart waist length puffy jacket approached the teenager in Oulton Road about 7.15pm to 7.30pm on Friday (November 26) as the 18-year-old walked her dog.

The man approached and initially asked for a light for a cigarette. He then asked for a kiss. The teenager refused but the man took her jaw and asked again. She again refused and then walked away.

“Police need to trace the man and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident,” a police spokesman said. “Officers are particularly keen to trace a man and woman, who were walking in the area with a child and a pet dog, who may have seen what happened.”
