Police appeal after pensioner targeted in Lowestoft distraction burglary

DETECTIVES this week renewed appeals for information following a distraction burglary at a home in Oulton Broad.

Two men gained entry to the home of a woman in her 80s and one of them engaged her in conversation while the other searched the property at Hall Road in Oulton Broad about 7.20pm to 7.30pm last Thursday, December 16.

A brown leather handbag containing cash was stolen. Detectives are renewing appeals for anyone who may have been in Hall Road around this time to contact DC 1173 Barnes on 01986 835300 if you saw two men – described as white, smartly dressed and possibly in their 20s – or have any information about who they are.
