A 70-year-old woman suffered swelling to her cheek and bruising and swelling to her knee and hand after she was pushed over as she walked along a road in Kessingland.

The woman was walking to a friends house, and was in Clare Road in Kessingland about 7.30pm last night (Thursday, February 2) when she was suddenly pushed on the shoulder from behind and fell to the floor, sustaining the injuries.

The looked up and saw a man, described as around 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build and wearing dark clothing, including a hooded top with the hood up, running away.

He headed off along an alleyway off Field Lane, which goes towards the library and Marram Green.

The woman headed home and called police. Nothing was taken from her and nothing was said by the man. Officers are asking the man involved, anyone who saw the incident or a man in the area around this time or anyone with information about who he is to call PC 266 Neasham at Lowestoft police on 101.
