Police concerned for welfare of missing 84-year-old man

Searches are continuing following the disappearance of an 84-year-old man.

Walter Jones was last seen at his home address at Blyford Retirement Home, Blyford Road, in Lowestoft at 9pm yesterday.

Suffolk Police said they have been making local enquiries overnight, but have been unable to locate Mr Jones and are now becoming concerned for his welfare, with searches continuing today.

Mr Jones is described as 5ft 9in tall, of medium build with short white hair. He was wearing a black suit, white top and black shoes.

Police said he has connections to the Halesworth and Lowestoft areas.

They added: “Anyone who may have seen Walter, or knows of his whereabouts, should contact Suffolk Police immediately on 101 quoting CAD 534 of Monday, July 23.”
