A vehicle carrying a wide load has been causing delays on the town’s roads.

Suffolk Police escorted the very large load from Sizewell Railhead, St Georges Avenue, Leiston starting at 9am to Belvedere Road, Lowestoft arriving just before 3pm.

The cargo was 5.3m wide, 5.3m high, 63m long and weighed in at 250,000kg.

A police spokesman warned that delays should be expected along the route.
