More than 100 off-duty officers from the county will be marching through the capital on January 23 as part of an ongoing pay protest.
The rally, organised by the Police Federation, is the only way police can legally show their anger at the government's decision not to back-date their pay rise, as they are prohibited from joining trade unions and from taking any industrial action.
By only paying the increase from December 1, the pay deal means only a 1.9pc rise over the year, which falls below the 2pc pay blanket introduced by the government for public sector workers.
