Police will be taking to the streets of Great Yarmouth's Blackfriars Road area this afternoon as they continue their investigations into the disappearance of 30 year old Derick Tempest who went missing two weeks ago today.

Mr Tempest was last seen at around 4pm on Wednesday 28 October 2009 in the Blackfriars Road area of Great Yarmouth.

Police are particularly concerned for his welfare as he is in regular contact with his family members and his disappearance is out of character.

As part of their investigations, officers will be talking to pedestrians and motorists in the Blackfriars Road area this afternoon as they try to establish the circumstances behind Mr Tempest's disappearance.

Mr Tempest is described as white, 5ft10, short light brown hair, clean shaven with a local accent and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark brown/khaki jacket, white trainers and a white baseball cap.

Officers also continue to investigate a potential link between Mr Tempest and the deaths of two men at a Yarmouth garage.

The bodies of James Hall, 60, and Andrew Ventham, 49, both of Queens Road, Yarmouth were discovered on Monday, November 2, at Camden Road.

Their deaths are not being treated as suspicious.

It is believed that Mr Tempest visited the premises at Camden Road at some point during the afternoon he went missing and police enquiries continue to establish the purpose for that visit.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have visited the garage or been a customer at the business between Wednesday 28 October 2009 and the morning of Monday 2 November 2009.

As part of ongoing inquiries, officers continue to search the site at Camden Road, and these investigations are expected to continue over the next few days.

DCI Rick Munns said: 'It has now been two weeks since the disappearance of Mr Tempest which is out of character as he is usually in regular contact with his family. We will be speaking to people in the local area throughout the afternoon as part of the investigation and continue to make every effort to locate Mr Tempest.

I would urge anyone who knows of the whereabouts of Derick or anyone who may have seen him in the days since his disappearance on Wednesday, October 28 to come forward.'
