Santa and his helpers will tour the town, spreading Christmas cheer, as a popular festive tradition returns next month.

The Rotary Club of Lowestoft East Point will take to the streets of Lowestoft with their Santa Sleigh on the week commencing Monday, December 4.

The Lowestoft Santa Sleigh 2017 tour starts at the Co-op store in Ashburnham Way on December 4 at 5.05pm and then visits the Carlton Colville area. It will then visit the Hall Road area of Oulton Broad on December 7 from 5.05pm onwards before visiting the Kirkley and Whitton area on Sunday, December 10, at 3.35pm.

It will then visit the Hollingsworth Road/Blyford Road area on Tuesday, December 12 from 5.05pm onwards, the Bloodmoor Estate area on December 14 from 5.05pm onwards, the central Lowestoft area starting from Denmark Road at 3.35pm on Sunday, December 17 and the Pakefield area on December 18.

On December 15/16 the tour will visit a number of pubs in Lowestoft. Its final stop will be at the Lowestoft Asda store on December 23-24, from 10.30am to 4pm both days.

“This annual event is one of the club’s major fundraising activities and it is hoped that the general public will give just as generously as in previous years,” a spokesman said.

Visit the Lowestoft Santa Sleigh Facebook page for details of the planned routes.
