Pupils at two Lowestoft area primary schools have helped to raise funds for worthy causes.
On the last day of term before the Easter holidays, the children at Blundeston CEVCP School managed to raise £170.75 for Brain Tumour Research.
A spokesman for the school in Church Road, Blundeston said: 'All the children were invited to make and wear a hat on the last day of term. The hats were judged by the school council and the winners in each year group received a prize. A fun day was then rounded off with a cake sale and Easter egg raffle organised by the PTA.'
Headteacher Mrs Kate Schonhut thanked all the children and parents for their 'fantastic support' during this event, and also Red Nose day which saw more than £450 raised.
Red Nose day was also marked by pupils at Corton Primary School. The school in The Street, Corton sold red noses, as the children were allowed to wear red on the day for a donation. The school council also held a cake sale as more than £250 was raised.
