People who use public transport in the Waveney area are being urged to attend a public meeting in Lowestoft on Friday evening.

The meeting, at the Hollingsworth Road Community Centre, has been organised by Waveney MP Bob Blizzard because of a rise in complaints made to him about bus services.

Mr Blizzard will chair the event and representatives from the East Suffolk Travellers' Association, Waveney Community Forum Transport Group, Suffolk County Council, and local bus companies are due to attend.

He said the views of young people would be particularly welcome as students often had difficulty getting transport to attend evening classes, part-time employment or other activities in out-of-school hours.

The meeting starts at 6.30pm. For details, call 01986 896788 or ring Mr Blizzard's office on 01502 514913.
