QUICK-witted thieves stole two purses from a pensioner as she shopped in Lowestoft.
Police have issued a warning to shoppers urging them to keep a close eye on their valuables and to report any suspicious behaviour to officers immediately using 999 following the latest theft.
The purses, containing cash, were stolen from the handbag of a 79-year-old woman as she shopped in London Road North last Friday .
The 79-year-old last had her purse about 12.05pm but was in another shop in the town centre around 12.20pm when she realised both purses - a brown leather one and a long, flat maroon coloured one - were missing.
