People will have the chance to quiz Suffolk's chief of police and its crime commissioner next week as a public meeting is held.

Chief Constable Steve Jupp and Suffolk's police and crime commissioner (PCC) Tim Passmore are inviting residents in the east of the county to the next meeting, which is taking place on Thursday, October 10 at The Wherry Hotel in Bridge Road, Oulton Broad.

They will be joined by a senior officer, who is responsible for policing in the east area, which covers Lowestoft, Leiston, Framlingham, Eye, Beccles and surrounding towns and villages.

Mr Passmore said: "I do hope people will accept this invite to come and find out more about policing."

The meeting - which will give people an opportunity to ask questions and to find out more about policing in Suffolk - starts at 7pm and there is no need to book in advance.
