Rail crossing barriers on a busy road are now working properly after an earlier fault caused severe traffic problems.
Lowestoft Police had tweeted at 12.47pm that the barriers on Victoria Road in Oulton Broad were down and stuck.
The post added that the fault was 'likely to cause traffic delays' and 'motorists should find alternative routes.'
Drivers who had already begun travelling towards Victoria Road faced severe queues as the barriers refused to operate.
However, Network Rail engineers were called to rectify the issue and the crossing is now in full working order.
