Lining up in their newly-sponsored training jackets, Waveney Thundercats U7 are celebrating after being named as a Respect Champion.

After a successful first-ever season in the Macron Norfolk and Suffolk Youth Under 7 Development League, Waveney Thundercats have been honoured by the league along with three other sides as this season’s U7 respect champions.

Under the guidance of manager Aaron Denning (pictured top left) and coach Simon West, the team are due to collect their award at the youth league’s presentation evening this weekend. A league spokesman said: “Congratulations to you all on what many consider the hardest award to win, the one voted on by your opposition.”

The team would like to thank Colin Hillier, managing director of Knights Estates in Lowestoft, for their generous sponsorship of the training jackets. They would also like to thank Ben Burgess, of B Burgess Roofing, for sponsoring the side’s kit this season.
