ALL the letters about respect between bike riders and walkers on the promenade made me smile.Last year in The Journal there were some letters complaining about families who block the shared cycle and footpath near to Meadow Primary School and shout and order cyclists to get off or ride on the road.

Last year in The Journal there were some letters complaining about families who block the shared cycle and footpath near to Meadow Primary School and shout and order cyclists to get off or ride on the road.

Well, they are still at it, and they now tell their children to shout at the bike riders.

I come across them most days and have told them this is also a cycle path. The reply is instant unpleasant and cannot be repeated in a family newspaper.

If you are biking along here about 9am to 10am on any school day, between the Lovewell Road crossing and the school, you will see this iron curtain blocking your way and you will have to get on to the grass or road to get past. Respect? Its a joke.
