Former students of a Lowestoft high school have organised a reunion to try and bring together some old classmates from more than 40 years ago.

The reunion, for students who attended Kirkley High School and left in 1974, will be held later this month.

The reunion, which will be held on Saturday, March 31 at the Lowestoft Railway Bowls and Social Club on Carlton Road, from 7.30pm onwards has been organised by Carol Manning and Caroline Chase.

Mrs Manning said: “We are organising a reunion for those who attended Kirkley High School and left in 1974. This means that we are celebrating our 60th birthdays and we would like to contact as many old school friends as possible to make them aware of the event.

“Entry is by ticket only. The tickets are £10 each which includes disco and buffet and can be obtained by contacting myself (Carol) on 07940 708677 or Caroline Chase on 07920 155 139.”
