An academy trust which has taken over a primary school graded as 'inadequate' has said it is confident it can help teachers to boost standards in the classroom by giving them access to greater levels of support from its 'hub' of nearby schools.
Reydon Primary School was said to have 'serious weaknesses' after its Ofsted inspection in September 2014 but avoided being put into special measures.
It has now officially transferred from local authority control to becoming an academy run by the Active Learning Trust (ALT), joining schools such as Westwood Primary School and Grove Primary School, both in Lowestoft.Westwood headteacher Rae Aldous said her school had flourished under its new status - and that she was confident Reydon Primary can now do the same.
