Members enjoyed a coffee morning in August. The September meeting started with a celebration of members' birthdays with flowers and song, especially as one member has reached the age of 101. The speaker Mrs G Slaughter spoke about the work of the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW). Various projects are funded by the ACWW and the women of the area are involved in organising it so it reflects their needs and concerns. These projects are paid for from voluntary contributions usually through the WI as Pennies of Friendship collections, membership fees and legacies, with the money raised going directly to the women involved in the project. Next month's speaker is Mr C Miller who is talking about Suffolk Punch Horses.
