A motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to hospital after a crash which shut a Suffolk road for almost three hours.

The accident on Saturday involved a 600cc Triumph machine and a Land Rover Freelander on the B1127 Beccles to Southwold road at Reydon.

Suffolk police believed that at least one of the riders suffered a broken leg in the collision.

Emergency services closed the road from 4.15pm until 7pm after fuel had leaked over the surface and debris was scattered.

The East of England Ambulance Service said the men, whose machine was registered at Kessingland, both suffered leg injuries and were taken to the James Paget University Hospital at Gorleston.
