Robber attacks woman in Lowestoft

A WOMAN was attacked and robbed as she walked through a Lowestoft churchyard.

The 19-year-old woman was walking through St Margaret's churchyard in St Margaret's Road about 7.

A WOMAN was attacked and robbed as she walked through a Lowestoft churchyard.

The 19-year-old woman was walking through St Margaret's churchyard in St Margaret's Road about 7.20pm last Wednesday (March 10) when she was grabbed by a man.

The man grabbed the woman's hair and stole a purse and a packet of cigarettes from her jacket pockets. He then slapped the victim on the side of her face, before letting go of the woman who fled from the area.

The robber is white, in his 20s or 30s, of average build, with a southern accent, possibly from London. He was wearing a dark tracksuit.
