The 20th anniversary of the formation a popular club has been marked with a new president being unveiled.

The Rotary Club of Lowestoft East Point recently enjoyed their annual handover meeting.

The event at the Hotel Victoria, on June 30, This marked the 20th anniversary of the formation of the club.

Outgoing president, Paul Tabiner, handed over the chain of office to Martin Lott, who will be the club's president for the next 12 months.

A club spokesman said: 'Rotary played a key role in the formation of Waveney Sailability in 2005 and to mark the 20th anniversary, the new President presented a new Hansa 303 boat to Commodore Richard Morling.

'The boat, which cost £6,800, was formally launched last month at Oulton Broad. Waveney Sailability enables people with disabilities to enjoy sailing on Oulton Broad and is just one of the local organisations to benefit from East Point Rotary's fundraising activities, including the popular Santa Sleigh.'
