At the meeting of the Southwold and Reydon Women's Section the chairman thanked Ann and Jack Robins for running the Easter whist drive, also Peggy Goffin, Milly Huggins and Ann Stannard for helping and other members and the public for attending, £101 was raised.

At the meeting of the Southwold and Reydon Women's Section the chairman thanked Ann and Jack Robins for running the Easter whist drive, also Peggy Goffin, Milly Huggins and Ann Stannard for helping and other members and the public for attending, £101 was raised. The bank balance is £400.47. Members were read details of the county spring festival at Needham Market on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31 11am to 5pm, admission £1. There will be a flower festival, needlework and handicraft exhibition, refreshments, tombola and the usual stalls. In addition on Saturday there will be a patchwork group and various dance groups and on Sunday market traders will display various stalls. New member Ruth Chapman has invited the group to a coffee morning with stalls at her home on Thursday, July 9. The cake and bric-a-brac stall will be at Lloyds Bank in August, date to be arranged. The president, Mollie Robinson, provided homemade cakes for the group to enjoy. The raffle was drawn and two games of bingo enjoyed. The next branch meeting is on May 27 at 2.30pm.
