I WAS interested to read the statement made by a Suffolk County Council spokesman regarding the accident that happened at Worlingham recently.

Namely the way the traffic speed was measured.

It was claimed that the “mean” speed was 30mph over the years. We can now assume that the average speed at times must have been well in excess of 30mph.

Suffolk County Council has responded after the event and have not been proactive in resolving the situation.

I have approached Peter Aldous, our local prospective MP regarding the dangers of the Bloodmoor Road roundabout, in Lowestoft.

Twice, on my behalf, he has tried to obtain a reply from the county council but to no avail.

Has there to be a serious tradedy there before something is done to stop the many problems that we have there, in particular the pedestrian crossings which are a real danger because of their positioning and angling of the lights.

A reply from Suffolk County Council would be appreciated.
