WORK is under way to rebuild a wall that protects drivers from a steep drop on a narrow road in Lowestoft.
Part of the wall on the left hand side of Cart Score, next to Belle Vue Park, has collapsed.
Waveney District Council parks and sports ground manager Jim Brock said: 'It's believed that the footings have been eroded by water flow from springs in the cliff.'
Work is already under way to repair the foundations and rebuild the wall.
Cart Score is one of a series of narrow lanes which connect Lowestoft High Street to the former Beach Village area, off Whapload Road.
