A LOWESTOFT family is appealing for the safe return of a missing cockatiel.
The 'desperate' owners of Snoopy issued the following appeal today - after the bird escaped from his cage on Sunday (October 14).
The owners said: 'Snoopy the cockatiel has absconded from his Parkhill estate home while we were cleaning feathers from his cage on Sunday.'
The loveable pet is grey with a yellow face and red cheeks.
The owners added: 'There have been two sightings of Snoopy on Monday - one on the south side of the estate and then when a pupil at Benjamin Britten High School spotted him in the trees on the school field.
'Snoopy is very nervous and will be unlikely to respond to strangers. We are desperate for his return and would appeal to anybody who may spot Snoopy to contact us as soon as possible on 07449 502 700 with details of his location.'
