A SECOND teenage boy has been arrested by police following a spate of arsons in north Lowestoft.
The Journal reported last week how police and the fire service were called out overnight on Thursday, October 7 and Friday, October 8 to fires in Lymm Road, stoven Close, Montgomery Avenue, Bourne Road, Peddars Way, Malvern Rise, Yarmouth Road and Oulton Road. And on October 12, a wooden shed at the side of a home in Lymm Road was destroyed by fire.
'The 16-year-old boy from Lowestoft was arrested on suspicion of arson on Wednesday (October 20), and interviewed in connection with the incidents,' a police spokesman said today.
'He has now been bailed to return to Lowestoft police station on November 24.'
Last week, a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of arson in connection with these incidents, and he is also on bail to return to Lowestoft police station on November 24.
