Part of a busy Lowestoft street has been closed this evening to deal with oil which spilled onto the road after a car accident.
Police were called to the scene of a one vehicle collision in St Peter's Street, Lowestoft at around 5pm.
When they arrived they discovered a large diesel spillage and have decided to take the precaution of shutting the road near to Lowestoft College the clear it up, particularly considering how driving conditions can be icy at this time of year.
Diversions are due to be put in place and the vehicle is due to be recovered.
