A number of leisure centres across Waveney and Great Yarmouth will remain closed today (March 3) as the inclement weather continues.

Sentinel Leisure Trust announced last night it would not be opening any of its centres due to concerns over staff and customer safety.

The trust tweeted: 'We would like to thank all our staff that have gone that extra mile to keep the centres open.

'However, with the current conditions and forecast tonight we will not be opening our leisure centres tomorrow as we are concerned for our staff and customer safety.'

Centres impacted by the closures include:

• Raw Soccer, on Pinbush Road, Lowestoft

• Adventure Island Play Park, on Pinbush Road, Lowestoft

• Oulton Broad Yacht Station, on Bridge Road, Lowestoft

• Dip Farm Pitch and Putt, on Corton Road, Lowestoft

• Barnards Soccer Centre, on Barnards Way, Lowestoft

• Phoenix Pool and Gym, on Widgeon Way, Bradwell

• Marina Leisure Centre, on Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth

• Broadland Health and Fitness Centre, on Marsh Road, Lowestoft

• Bungay Pool and Gym, on St John's Hill, Bungay

• Waterlane Leisure Centre, on Water Lane, Lowestoft
