An exciting female ensemble will perform as part of the Southwold Arts Festival next weekend.
Seraphim can be heard in another evocative and sublime collection of special music enhanced by the glorious acoustics of Saint Edmund's Church in Southwold next Sunday, June 24.
Vetta Wise, the group's conductor and director, has created an a cappella programme entitled 'On Swooping Wings', with sublime and rarely-heard works by Hildegard and other female composers, as well as Brahms, Gjeilo and many others. Vetta said: 'I am particularly thrilled to have the fantastic voices of Seraphim, which can meet the challenges of works like Tartini's 'Stabat Mater' and Tavener's, 'Ikon of Saint Hilda', a haunting piece which has wide extremes of vocal range and colour.'
The group will perform at 4pm on June 24 and tickets are available via www.SouthwoldArtsFestival.co.uk by calling 01502 722572 or at the box office in Saint Edmund's Hall, Southwold.
