EVER since police launched additional deployments in Lowestoft as part of the Save A Life campaign, extra enforcement has led to seven people being arrested.

EVER since police launched additional deployments in Lowestoft as part of the Save A Life campaign, extra enforcement has led to seven people being arrested.

New figures released this week have shown that of the 11 added deployments in the Lowestoft area, Operation Nucleus has been a success.

With more police on the streets since the crackdown was launched in September, a police spokesman said: “The performance of Operation Nucleus continues to be positive.”

With The Journal teaming up with the Suffolk Roadsafe Partnership and key agencies in the county, including Suffolk County Council and Suffolk Constabulary, to help spearhead a hard-hitting drive towards a safer Suffolk, the aim is to reduce the numbers of people who are killed or seriously injured on our roads.

As at October 21, the following offences were recorded as a result of the 42 additional deployments undertaken:
