Drivers have been faced with lengthy delays after a road bridge became stuck open.

Queues were mounting in Lowestoft and the surrounding area earlier this morning after the A47 Bascule Bridge failed to close.

Traffic was particularly severe on Station Square, Belvedere Road, Denmark Road and Waveney Road.

The bridge has since closed, allowing motorists to travel in both directions, but roads in the area remain busy.

Keep up to date with the latest delays by checking the EDP's live traffic map.
