A LOWESTOFT alleyway has today (Monday) been cordoned off by police following an allegation of sexual assault.
Officers cordoned off an alleyway near London Road South after a 31-year-old woman alleged she had been sexually assaulted.
Police were contacted just after 9.30pm last night (Sunday, January 24) and following enquiries a 53-year-old man has been subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.
He is currently in custody at Lowestoft police station where he is being interviewed by officers, and police have also been talking to the 31-year-old woman as enquiries continue.

'Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in this area about 8pm to 9.30pm last night (Sunday) who may have seen either a man following a woman or a man and woman together,' a police spokesman said.
