A popular centre for young people and adults with additional needs has been boosted by an intrepid duo.

More than £1,000 has been raised for the Involve Centre in Lowestoft after two friends took to the skies and completed a parachute jump.

With Marie Ruth's son attending the not-for-profit organisation, which opened its centre in Pinbush Close on the South Lowestoft Industrial Estate in 2015, a fundriasing parachute jump was suggested – with Marie and her friend Rosie Gerell 'jumping' at the chance!

A spokesman for the Involve Centre said: 'Despite Rosie having never even been in a plane before, they have worked really hard over the past couple of months and raised an amazing £1,100 for Involve Active. We are so very thankful to Marie and Rosie for choosing Involve Active to raise this amazing amount of money, which will go towards supporting our service users within The Involve Centre.'
