A SMELL of smoke in a cellar in Lowestoft led to firefighters tackling a small blaze in Lowestoft.
Four crews - one from Lowestoft South and one from North Lowestoft stations, were joined by the turntable ladder and support pump from Ipswich - were called out just after 8.10am this morning (Tuesday).
Firefighters attended The Veterinary Clinic in the town's historic High Street, and a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said there was a 'strong smell of burning,' with a thermal image camera in use to detect the blaze.
This was eventually found to be a 'small fire in a blown light fitting,' and the blaze was quickly dealt with, as the scene was cleared by 8.30am.
