A 26-year-old soldier appeared in court today accused of killing a labourer who died after being involved in a fight outside a bar.Daniel Gooda - a trooper in the Household Cavalry who is based at barracks in Windsor, Berks - appeared before a judge at Norwich Crown Court accused of manslaughter.
A 26-year-old soldier appeared in court today accused of killing a labourer who died after being involved in a fight outside a bar.
Daniel Gooda - a trooper in the Household Cavalry who is based at barracks in Windsor, Berks - appeared before a judge at Norwich Crown Court accused of manslaughter.
Police said father-of-two Timothy Moore, 30, died in hospital after suffering head injuries during an incident outside the Sing Sing bar in Norwich in the early hours of March 28.
Gooda is alleged to have punched Mr Moore, who lived at Templemere, Norwich.
He is also accused of affray and assaulting a policeman. Prosecutors say he kicked out at an officer during a later incident.
Gooda did not enter any pleas to the charges at today's hearing.
The hearing was adjourned until June 9 and Gooda was freed on bail.
