Lowestoft man appears in court charged with ATM robbery

A man charged with an ATM robbery in Lowestoft has been remanded into custody.

Solomon Thomkinson appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court this afternoon accused of robbing a man in his 60s of £440 while he was withdrawing cash from an ATM at Asda at Horn Hill in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

He is also charged with stealing an MG car from a Lowestoft Tandoori delivery driver the previous evening.

Thomkinson, 39, of Grosvenor Road in Lowestoft, did not enter a plea and was remanded into custody.

He will appear at Ipswich Crown Court on May 16.
