WORK is continuing to find a solution to problems which have seen a newly-transformed play area in Lowestoft closed.
The hard court area on Morton Road in Pakefield closed earlier this month, just three weeks after it was officially reopened following a �50,000 redevelopment.
The gate was locked after a complaint was made about the noise coming from the play area.
Now a month after it closed, investigations are continuing to find out what can be done to solve the issues raised by some people who live near the court.
A Suffolk County Council spokesman said: 'The investigation into the complaint is still under way. We are now working closely with an acoustic company to identify the level of sound created by the play court. Until all investigations are complete we are unable to indicate when the play area will reopen.'
Following a complaint at the beginning of September, an Environmental Health officer visited the court and decided that noise from the surface area and the sound of balls hitting the fence was an 'unreasonable interference' with the occupiers' right to enjoy their home, so the court was closed just three weeks after being reopened.
