Club Uniquity - The next session of Club Uniquity takes place this evening, Friday, August 28, in the Duke's Head barn with music from 8pm. Admission, as usual, is free.

Club Uniquity - The next session of Club Uniquity takes place this evening, Friday, August 28, in the Duke's Head barn with music from 8pm. Admission, as usual, is free.

On Sunday, August 30, Somerleyton Hall will be holding a puppet show and teddy bear's picnic. Visitors are invited to dress up their teddies and bring them to the picnic. The best dressed teddies will be judged at 1.30pm and then everyone can settle down at 2pm to watch a performance of Follow the Stars, given by the Nutmeg Puppet Company.

Jazz - On Monday, August 31, Somerleyton Hall will be hosting a jazz on the lawns bank holiday special with the Mike West Jazz band and the Neil Kane Jazz trio. The music starts at 1.30pm. Standard admission rates apply for both these events.

Council meeting - The next meeting of the Ashby, Herringfleet and Somerleyton parish council will be held on Thursday, September 3, at 7.15pm in the village hall. As usual the meeting will begin with an open forum, which all members of the public are welcome to attend.

Church services - On Sunday, August 30, a service of holy communion and baptism will be held in St Mary's Church, Somerleyton, at 11am. A service of evensong will be held at 6.30pm in St. Mary's Church, Ashby.
