'Innovative', 'friendly, cheerful, happy and helpful' were just some of the words used to describe the branch, which scooped the prize in this year's People's Post Office Awards, in association with NS&I.
And one said: 'Subpostmistress Lynne Homer is a wonderful person, always cheerful and ready to help anyone.'
Kate Silverton said: 'Post Offices have a special place in people's hearts. They represent everything that is great about communities across the UK. Somerleyton in particular has demonstrated how going that extra mile creates a sense of loyalty with customers and helps to build and maintain a strong, trusted and much appreciated business.'
